HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL
I came home from the hospital on Friday and am doing well. This knee replacement surgery has certainly been easier than the first one. I have been told that the "feel good stuff" will be wearing off and the aching in the knee and leg will set in but that this is normal. I have lots of physical therapy to go through to get the bend in the knee but at least I can get around the house a bit with the use of the walker. I am unable to do anything but work on a crossword puzzle. No stitching because I should not sit in that position very long. And my time at the computer is to be very limited. So, I am just reporting in and will cut this short.

Good that you are home, and recovering. You'll hve time to prioritize your quilt projects when you're up and going again. come to think of it, mostly quilting is sitting time! When you are feeling better, you can still sew! Good news. 8-))

My knees ache just thinking about you! I hope you recover more quickly this time. Sit back and enjoy some hot tea or cocoa, and a good book or two. No rotary cutting while on painkillers! Merry Christmas, and a Healthy New Year!

I had knee replacement surgery (partial)on 12/8/09. Recovery is not fun, is it? I will think of you, especially during PT exercises. Why can't our skin be as resilient as the interior of our knee -- that part that doesn't want to bend? We'd look 20 years old if it did.
