I need to add more green in, so I will be moving down into the pile of those waiting to be done and select some with green. Now I don't know if I want the blocks side by side or if I should add some narrow strips of left over fabrics in between. Or maybe I should add one fabric in between in say a very light tone on tone. Give me your opinion please.Karen

Ohhhh fun!!! I love them Karen! I think they look great side by side, makes the scrappiness stand out.
I know I have told you how much I love baskets....
Very nice. I like them without sashing.
I like them without sashings, too, Karen. The colours are beautiful, as are the baskets. Your score is very high!
Greetings, Cisca
I like them the way they are. But then again, sashing might really set them off. I say lay them out with a bit of sashing and see what you think. :0)
These are amazing! I too, like them the way they are.
Beautiful Karen.. but I think I would have added sashing in between .... but then I am a lover of sashings...:o) Think the baskets will be more clear with sashing..:o)... but as Terry said.. try and lay out and see...:o) but I guess you already have tried it..;o)
Just gorgeous! I really enjoy when you post your blocks:)
They look so great
cheers
Christine
Oh wow! They're beautiful! Did you get the pattern from the Blackbird Designs book or from somewhere else? I think I like the blocks just as they are! :D
I like the look without sashing. It has a wonderful primitive feel that I think would be lost with sashing...just my 2 cents.
Really cute baskets! I like them as they are...but try a narrow sashing & see what you think!
Karen, you sure have been busy.
I don't think I would like a border, but how about something small in between like a piping.
Love baskets.
Okay, designing definitely isn't my strong suit, but I think I would like them just the way they are, but maybe a nice brown would set everything off. You have to experiment and see, I guess! I have trouble with colors and designs.
Ooh, I love baskets! You're doing a great job. How many baskets in total?
I'm drooling over here - I HEART those basket blocks! So pretty!!!!
What can I say about the wonderful baskets? Their beauty speaks for themselves!!
I am a fan of sashing: when I look at your wonderful baskets I see dark chocolate sashing. See what happens when you ask for opinions?
Karen, they are spectacular. I love them like they are. Great Job. Thank you for your help.
I love all your baskets! :-) I'd put them together without sashing too. Happy stitchin'! :-)
Goals are good. You, ma'am, are an overachiever. Great work!
Have you thought about setting them on point? OK I am getting slap happy. They are great looking! I think they look great without sashing, but either way you have another winner!
Oh boy - your basket quilt is fabulous. There are a lot of them being made out there, and your's is my favorite! Love the red backgrounds and all the other colors you are using. I really like the way you have laid them out side by side. It would be fun to see a picture of each row a little offset though - that would add to the whimsy. Just love this quilt!
Beautiful blocks!

REALLY cute! I think I would like them with no sashing.
Oh I love them! Boy, I think I would have to go with no sashing, but I might change my mind if I saw them with something that caught my eye as sashing.

Karen, I love your baskets and if it were me I would just sew them together the way you have them laid out. I am a huge fan of scrappy quilts and I think it's just beautiful as is!!! xo
Love the baskets and I would have to agree with the majority of no sashing. They look great laid out.
Just side by side will do great!! Love the colours you use! You have been a busy bee indeed!! Have a nice day, happy sewing, Daniëlle
I think they're great. If it were me, I would add sashing of one colour, which I think would make the individual baskets stand out.
Beautiful baskets :)
I would have put them together without any sashing. Love the way they look right besides eachother. Perhaps I should find my box with bakets and start applique on them again :)
I love these baskets!! I too say no sashing....seems to be the popular opinion LOL.
Crispy
Oh my - they look great! I think I like them side by side.
these area so great. scrap-tastic!
I too love the baskets and I think they look just fine without any sashing.
Wow, that's a lot of baskets!!!! They look great together - your quilt will be a stunner.
Whatever you do with them - those are gorgeous basket blocks!
Beautiful blocks, I like them without the sashings. And if you add sashings...it will still be a gorgeous quilt!
I say..no sashing.
Love the blocks!
What a gorgeous quilt this will be.
I like them like this and probably with sashing too. Either way, this is going to be a very pretty quilt!
They are beautiful! I think I would do light tone on tone sashing. But whatever you do, it will be a spectacular quilt!
Dang Karen....you have so many pretties over there! This my friend will be one wonderful quilt!!
Perfection. The baskets are looking marvelous! You are going to have a gorgeous quilt top very soon. Happy stitching. :-D
Brilliant! Just love the colours you have chosen, Karen.
Gorgeous basket blocks!! I like them without sashing.
My choice would be without sashing, Karen. I think it would add to the scrappiness, don't you?
Although I really love them without when I look closely at the photo that gorgeous barn red and federal blue stand out. I wondered what the sashing would look like with one of these two colors. Or even a small border of the red or blue. However you do it, you've got a real beauty there.
These little baskets just make me smile. I agree with the others, they look cozy next to their neighbors, no shashing necesary.
The baskets are so cute! I would go with a very light toned sashing. It is going to be a really beautiful quilt!

i have been wanting to do some small applique baskets like these and seeing yours is really inspiring~!
i think you have enough advice on whether to sash or not to sash but would love to see it once you've decided and finished this one. i'm sure that whatever you do it's going to look awesome~!!~
