FIRST BLOCK OF "LOVE LETTERS" DONE

I got tired of sitting at the sewing machine and switched back to the applique. I will be returning to the borders for my star quilt very soon. With my hesitation at continuing with the huge applique block and so many bloggy friends encouraging me, I thought it was a good time to work on finishing the block I had started. Here is the result.
And I have started a second block. It doesn't look like much yet.
Nothing else to report. Have a great day and stop back soon.

Karen

Oh boy do I hear you about time to step away from the machine and just sit and enjoy some hand work. I believe this is what happened the other day with the wool project. I'd been at machines for days and needed to change it up a bit. But...must admit I'm looking forward to seeing your borders on...that is one GORGEOUS quilt!!

This one is going to be a stunner as well, Karen.

I too can only sit at a machine for so long and then my handwork beckons me.

Oh gosh I love clicking on these photos and seeing the fabrics up close! That gingham in the first block is so neat. The way it works with the eye. Superlative! That entire block is perfect so I find myself really looking forward to watching the process and the "coming to life" of this next block. How fun!

PS: I was daydreaming about your Star Quilt yesterday. Just musing about how lovely it was and all that... :) *karendianne.
