Here is my addition to Paulette's Wool Crazy pin cushion. I added the bee skeep and tall flower.
The piece is now on it's way home to Paulette so that she can add any finishing stitches and then be sewn into a pin cushion. Kaaren from the Painted Quilt added the snowman scene. Lori from Humble Quilts added the pumpkins & sunflowers. The frolicking sheep was what Paulette started with. It has been a fun round robin and has gone rather quickly.
Here is the second applique basket block that is being done for a friend. Below is the first applique block which I showed in a recent post.
Two down and several to go. The fabrics are from the Moda Madeira line.
My Bernina went in for service yesterday. It started making a loud noise over the weekend. Hope it is nothing serious. I am using my Singer Featherweight in the meantime. I had intended on doing some stitching on "Land of the Free" but it is all fused applique and needs the Bernina stitch, so that will have to wait.
Have a great day. I am off to prep another applique basket block.

Lovely stitching Karen! I'm sure Paulette will love and treasure it!
Such pretty basket blocks!!
I found a border for my Land of the Free quilt. I hope to get back to it soon. I hope it's nothing serious with your machine so you can continue with your quilt top again!!
Lovely pincushion and basketblocks.
Karen, I have sure enjoyed following along with the pin cushions. Great job done by all. Those baskets blocks are gorgeous. Winona
Those wool pincushions are absolutely wonderful and your addition to Paulette's was absolutely spot on perfect! I'm enjoying seeing these applique blocks...stunning!! (your amazing...have I told you that lately?)
Love your addition to Paulette's woolie pin cushion! It's been fun to watch the progress of all 4 pin cushions - I'll be sad when you, Lori, Kaaren & Paulette have finished.
Love the blocks, too. Hope your Bernina will be home soon.
The wool crazy is wonderful. It will be great to see it completed as a pin cushion...an amazing pin cushion! And your baskets are looking lovely. Best wishes for your Bernina. I did a major insult to mine yesterday....got my stylette(is that how you spell that?) in the way and broke a needle and couldn't find part of what broke off. I cleaned the machine and so far so good. A little scary for my bff Bernina.
Oh my gosh! I really love that wool applique piece -- so cute! And the two blocks are just wonderful! Hope your Bernina is ok. You're so lucky to have both machines. That's my goal in life someday. lol!
You all did such a great job with the crazy wool pincushions. I am on my third one. Thanks for your inspiration.
Beautiful baskets! Your first one shown (second one done) is similar to an applique vase I just drafted...I love things like that with "droopy" handles! You have a lucky friend!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)

I really do love the pincushions you've been working on, but I don't think I would ever be able to stick pins in them.
