Some stitching going on here but not as much as usual. I did finish the sunflower piece.
I did the applique last fall and have finally taken time to machine quilt and do the binding. The pattern name is "Celebration" and is a Joined at the Hip pattern from the book "Olde Farm House".
I am making two smaller size quilts from the same pattern. I am about to finish the applique on one and have all of it to do on the second. The applique goes fast though. The pattern I am using is by Cheri and is called "Monday's Quilt".
I finished the last two wool basket blocks. Now I need to go back to the directions and do some reading to see how to put things together and then do the final wool applique.
I also made four more blocks for the "Blessings From the Hollow" quilt pattern. I have seven more to make and then the pieced border. I will show the progress in another post.
Has anyone joined the member part of Sentimental Stitches? I am just wondering if the monthly cost is worth what is available and if you can stop at any time that you want to.
Thanks for stopping by to see what I am working on.

Good to see you back producing your wonderful applique! I am unfamiliar with Sentimental Stitches, but love the Cherry Tree quilt. Let us know what you find out.
Can't wait to see the wool baskets together Karen! Beautiful.
Love everything you are working on, especially the wool baskets, and oh yes those sunflowers are so very pretty!

Wow, you've been productive, it all looks so wonderful, the applique is lovely and I love the two little quilts.
You have been making up with your sewing time since your surgery, you have accomplished so much. I love everything, I so have to get busy. I'm trying to finish up a couple of projects before starting something new but I am itching to get started on a new project. Seeing all you have done is making it so hard!
Glad you are feeling better and able to get some stitching done. Love all of your projects!!!! Beautiful applique, can't wait to see the finished quilt.

I am no help on the SS site.

So many terrific finishes, Karen.
WOW look at all the great stitching going on at your house!! I love all of them!
I only go to Sentimental Stitches for the blocks to the old quilt. I haven't checked lately to see if she has added any more. Personally, I don't think anyone has enough to offer to pay a membership fee. I don't mind sending off a donation if they offer free BOMs but I won't pay just to hang out. Just IMHO :0)
Crispy
Your are a busy, busy woman! I love the wool basket blocks. I made this quilt with cottons and now my mom has it hanging in her entry way.
You are seriously Speedy and a silly ol' back surgery can't keep you down long!
ADORABLE....ALL OF IT!
So glad you asked about SS. I've been wondering the same thing. I happened on to the site and fell in love with Beyond the Cherry Tree, but alas I started 3/4 of the way through so only have 3 of the freebie blocks. Would like the others, but will have to schedule them into the budget (at $6 a block they seem pricey)
Hope to see comments about the membership stuff.

p.s. - glad you're feeling better

I have a few of those Joined at the Hip books and just love the patterns! Congrats on the finish. Love the quilts, and the applique blocks are beautiful!
Those wool candle mats would whip up quick compared to these blocks...I'm just sayin! LOL I still have patterns for the sewing bag, if you are interested....
Blessings..
Love the two little figures at the bottom of the pieced quilts. The sunflower and wool block is wonderful. You always get so much done to show us - always so much fun!

I got an email about the sentimental stitches but I think I am going to pass just because I have enough to keep me busy.
The sunflower quilt turned out lovely. I really like the applique with the pieced blocks on the smaller quilts.
I really love your primitive basket!! So wonderful...and no, the price is too much for me to join Sentimental Stitches...didn't it used to be free?
