CELEBRATION FINISH

Some stitching going on here but not as much as usual.  I did finish the sunflower piece.
I did the applique last fall and have finally taken time to machine quilt and do the binding.  The pattern name is "Celebration" and is a Joined at the Hip pattern from the book "Olde Farm House".

I am making two smaller size quilts from the same pattern.  I am about to finish the applique on one and have all of it to do on the second.  The applique goes fast though.  The pattern I am using is by Cheri and is called "Monday's Quilt".

I finished the last two wool basket blocks.  Now I need to go back to the directions and do some reading to see how to put things together and then do the final wool applique.

I also made four more blocks for the "Blessings From the Hollow" quilt pattern.  I have seven more to make and then the pieced border.  I will show the progress in another post.

Has anyone joined the member part of Sentimental Stitches?  I am just wondering if the monthly cost is worth what is available and if you can stop at any time that you want to.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I am working on.

Karen

You have been making up with your sewing time since your surgery, you have accomplished so much. I love everything, I so have to get busy. I'm trying to finish up a couple of projects before starting something new but I am itching to get started on a new project. Seeing all you have done is making it so hard!

WOW look at all the great stitching going on at your house!! I love all of them!

I only go to Sentimental Stitches for the blocks to the old quilt. I haven't checked lately to see if she has added any more. Personally, I don't think anyone has enough to offer to pay a membership fee. I don't mind sending off a donation if they offer free BOMs but I won't pay just to hang out. Just IMHO :0)

Your are a busy, busy woman! I love the wool basket blocks. I made this quilt with cottons and now my mom has it hanging in her entry way.

You are seriously Speedy and a silly ol' back surgery can't keep you down long!

So glad you asked about SS. I've been wondering the same thing. I happened on to the site and fell in love with Beyond the Cherry Tree, but alas I started 3/4 of the way through so only have 3 of the freebie blocks. Would like the others, but will have to schedule them into the budget (at $6 a block they seem pricey)

Hope to see comments about the membership stuff.

p.s. - glad you're feeling better

I got an email about the sentimental stitches but I think I am going to pass just because I have enough to keep me busy.
