CHRISTMAS QUILT-ALONG

I discovered this morning that there is a monthly Christmas Quilt-Along going on.  I have decided to participate.  Cathi from Shakerwood Quilts is the host today.  I haven't had time to add the button for the quilt-along but will try to do that later today.  Cathi just posted a very pretty Cherry Chocolate Kiss cookie recipe on her blog that looks yummy.

I have decided to work on a smaller size applique project called "Santa in the Woods".  The pattern is by Sandy Gervais and I found it in the special winter 2010 edition of Quiltmania.
The magazine was a gift from my blog friend Paulette.  It has 12 projects for a "Country Christmas".  Several are by Sandy Gervais.  In my opinion, there isn't a bad project in the magazine.

I am off to the sewing room.

I just perused my first Quiltmania magazine. I liked all the projects and the graphics with each one! Your choice is wonderful. I was tempted to join, but up to my eyeballs in projects with deadlines. Maybe this summer!

I enjoy Quiltmania, they seem to be getting a little more "primitive" or country. I like it.

I love that project. Was it in the directions to mix techniques or is that just how you are doing it? I think the wool Santa is a great idea.

Looks like a great project to work on. Will it be a wool project or needle turn?
