DESIGN WALL MONDAY, OLDEST UFO FINISH AND MORE

I forgot to share a picture of the completed Cherry Basket quilt top and will do so now.  A fun project.
And I finished my oldest UFO that was in the closet.  It was started in 1997.  You can read about it in my previous post.  It is now quilted, bound, washed & dried.  And I am happy that I did not give the top away a long time ago.  The quilt is from a Brannock & Patek pattern.
And last is to show you what is on the design wall.  It is a spring quilt called "Garden Delight" and is from a quilt book by Jan Patek called "Festival of Life".  Though the larger quilt in the book is wonderful, I am doing the smaller version.  A pot of flowers, two more rabbits & some pinwheel blocks to be added yet.
Here is a picture of the book cover which shows the quilt.
Time for me to do some stitching.  Hope you get to do the same.

Karen

Wow! So many beautiful pictures! I love how the cherry quilt turned out. It is so bright and sweet!
The purple with the angels is lovely and kind of regal in a folk art fashion. I love it!
And the quilt with the bunnies and bee skeps is too cute and definitely calling me! I'm working on my walking rabbit with the plaid clothes and may have to search out these rabbits too :-) You seem to be quite a source of inspiration for me!

Those look great. I like the cherry basket. Cherries on fabric always remind me of a time gone by.

Kudos on finishing your oldest UFO! I started quilting in about the year 1999, so that is right about when I 'discovered' the quilting world. Love the Jan Patek quilt you started! Did you see on her blog the fabulous new book she is going to have coming out? Definitely going on my 'to buy' list :o)

Your finished quilts have both turned out lovely; the cherry one is reminiscent of days gone by. I like your Garden Delight one too - I will have to look out for Jan Patek's designs; very nice.

Your cherry basket top is adorable, love those little cherries! I like red and yellow together, too. The angel quilt is gorgeous, I'm so glad you finished it. Love those prim angels and stars. Your new project is going to be wonderful, too! Bunnies and bees just in time for Easter. You inspire me but I get more ideas than time to work on them!
