HAND STITCHING ON SUNDAY

I am about to get back to my hand applique block I started yesterday evening.  I took a quick look at some blogs and discovered there are posts for showing what hand work you might be doing on a Sunday and decided I would link in too.  You can visit Kathy's blog for the links.
I am working on a basket block from  "A Little Porch Time".  Not much left to do on it.  Finish the flowers and add three leaves.  It is for one of the stitch-alongs I am participating in.
I took a nap a bit ago.  I was dreaming that the house was full of noisy company and I couldn't wake up, that our dog jumped on the bed with me (we have no dog), and that there was a humming bird buzzing my head.  That is just a bit of the dream and all of it was crazy.

  2. Funny dream! But it happens - one night I heard the doorbell ding in the middle of the night - no one there. Happened another time during sleep - no one there. Finally decided it was rung via remote control by a prankter. to this day, I don't know "who" was there, or if my brain is playing tricks on me??? Still, funny how our dreams go.

Your Uncle Sam is so cool!

Maybe your crazy dream is the beginning of designing some stitchery blocks?!? Sounds like a fun design...a bird, a dog, and a nap!

  9. Nice little block for your handwork.
Sounds like dreams I sometimes have--I'm sure someone has come in, whether friend or foe, but I cannot wake up to talk to them (or escape from them). My eyelids seem stuck shut and I feel like I can't move, even though I want to. It all seems so real. And they don't happen at night--only when napping.

  13. I finished this block but I have to admit that I did not sew stars in the center - I am making a few changes in the pattern to make sure that I indeed finish this one :)
