Yesterday, Mary of Quilt Hollow sent me a link to a free pattern by Kim Diehl for a small snowman quilt. Here is the link for the pattern and cutting instructions. Here is the link for the applique templates. It is a cute pattern and I do like snowmen quilts. So I got right onto it and made the quilt top. Fun to make.
Maybe you would like to make one too. The applique could be done the fusing method, regular needle turn as I did, or using wool. Give it a try.
