BLOCK 4 ACROSS THE WIDE MISSOURI

A lot of stitching time went into making the fourth block of "Across the Wide Missouri".  If I were making a second block (and I'm not), I would not do the double rows of embroidered lines on the beehive.  Only because it added stitching time to the block and could be just as effective with one line of heavier thread for each row across.
I have a wall hanging size quilt top almost done, so I will be posting again soon.  Check back with me.

A lot of work in this block. I love it. Hugs

Love it: the seed pods look great, and I think the stitching on the beehive was worth the extra effort.

I enlarged it to get a better look and I am struck by all of the detail work on this block. Looks very labor intensive. You have done it beautifully--and you don't have to do it again! : )

It's a really nice looking block. The beehive must have been a lot of work. I have that book too and will have to get it out again to see the quilt.

LOVE the flowers. I also think the block name is very interesting. Good fabric choices!

Super cute, but it does look like a lot of stitching. Lots of circles there too!!

Good for you! You stayed with it and made a wonderful block. I have this books too and want to make it someday (except the fish).
