New Christmas Quilt and A New Project

I finally made the final block for a Christmas quilt.  The blocks were a group sew-along from a Yahoo prim group I belong to.  Each month for nine months, Debbie from Woolen Sails selected a free stitchery design from  Primitive Blessings.  We could change the design as we wanted and use any method to create the blocks.  Embroidery, regular applique, wool applique or any combination.  I did not want to do the last block that was selected, so I chose another of the free designs which is the sort of star shaped Santa in the lower right hand corner.  My favorite block is the sheep in the bottom row.  What is yours?
You can see Debbie's version here.  You can see Nancy's here.  Mine still needs quilted but Christmas is a long ways off and others need quilting before this.

I made the first block for "Sweet and Simple".   It is called Four Square.  I like this block!

Back to my stitching!

What an adorable Christmas Quilt. I think my favorite is the Gingerbread Men. Your Sweet & Simple blocks is great! I think I may get up and go prep one now.

I really like how you bordered yours with red, really makes it all come together nicely with the lighter background.

Again, I love your applique. If I was to choose a favorite it would be the gingerbread "A spoonful of sugar"! But the whole quilt is just adorable!!

Nice finish, the red sashing sets it off. I love the blocks with wool applique, so much more detail, like the sheep block. I'm afraid my version still needs to be quilted, also.
