PICKING APPLES AND SALLY POST UPDATE

I finished a block called "Picking Apples".  A fun block to make.
And an update on my Sally Post Floral Quilt blocks.  I met my goal of stitching three for the month of March.  I am still on the hunt for the sashing fabric for the quilt.  I purchased some online and it is too light and too pink.  Dare I try a third time!
We have company for two weeks but they are out sight-seeing today so I have some play time in the sewing room.   Back to play!

  3. I love the picking apples block. I have a photo of my son at the orchard and want to do one of him some day, maybe a whole quilt of folk interpretations of my kids and fun times.

  6. I love the fabrics in the picking apples block--the ripply water, and lines of the tree bark--the checked apron and the paisley leaves! So fun!
It is nigh unto impossible to get the "right" color via internet photos, isn't it? Can be maddening. Good luck!

  15. Super cute! You know, you are going to have to find a sashing fabric in real life... unless of course, you want to keep adding pinks to your stash! lol
