Tis Spring

A new wall size quilt done from a pattern by Cheri Payne called "Tis Spring".
I used cottons for the background and wool for the applique.  A fun and easy quilt to make.  In my collection of quilts, I do not have many that make you think of spring so this is a good addition.  I am planning to make a couple more small pieces with a spring theme.

And spring has definitely arrived here.  So much pollen.  Last week I was sneezing and blowing my nose.  Not as much this week.

I have more to share but will do that in the next day or two.

  15. Great small spring quilt Karen! Love the design and the colors :)

I know what you mean about the pollen. I was so miserable a couple of weeks ago...there was pollen on everything, even a ring around the top of the pool

  16. When I had seen your photo, but hadn't read your text yet, my thought was, "that is what I need--more Spring themed stuff." Then I read that you also need more. : ) I always reach for the "dark & dirty" fabrics, Fall colors, deep Christmas colors--even Halloween colors. And always lots of black.
This piece is very sweet and fresh without being blindingly bright. Love it!
