12 Days of Christmas Number Two

I recently made one of the small quilts that Temecula Quilt Co. gave block instructions for making a quilt to represent the 12 Days of Christmas.  If you remember, the block pattern started with a one piece block, and the number of pieces in each block increased by one each day.  So day two was a block with two pieces, day six had six, etc.  I decided to make another one as they go together fairly fast.  This time in red and white.

This is the first one I made.

I am working on a new project and will have a block to share soon.

  2. Those are both beautiful pieces. I do enjoy making small quilts and need to decide on what I want to get started.

  3. I think I need to move myself over to the smaller quilt tier, too. I am getting so bogged down in making these really big projects...I need scaling back ...your two quilts came out so well. May I ask how you display (or not) them? thanks, Hugs, Julierose

  4. That looks so good in red/white! I made this quilt on the original SAL, and mine is still not quilted. Look at you, with two completely finished. I should get a move on! : )

  7. The two little quilts are so distinctly different even though it's the same pattern. Nice job!

  9. Oh yes! I really like the red and white version. I think this is a very clever and fun pattern for the twelve days of Christmas.

Looking forward to seeing your new block.

  11. I love both of your little 12Days quilts. I keep saying no to starting new little projects and then I see the finishes you (and others) share and wish I would have just jumped in as usual. And can't wait to see what else you are working on !!

  12. They are both adorable! Mine is done in Christmas colors, but I've always thought I should make one in 30"s or brights--perfect for a child's counting quilt!
