Catherine's Garden Block of the Month

I made the first two blocks for "Catherine's Garden" which is a new block/blocks of the month by Dawn and her daughter Nora (Collector With A Needle).  They are block designs from an antique quilt and you can read about it here.  The monthly designs are very reasonably priced.

I am going for a prim style look and will be using some plaids and stripes.  Mostly pinks and browns.  The blocks are eight inches finished.

Enjoy your day.

  16. I had to stop and in and visit as it's been a while! This is lovely as always - and I wanted to share...some time ago you shared that you often thrift for your wool stash. Well guess what I did today? I bought a couple of wool jackets that I'm so excited to felt and use for appliqué! You were the first person who'd ever mentioned that to me...though now that I talk to more folks I have learned there are many more who do the same...but just wanted to thank you for originally sharing that with me! As always I adore your many projects!! :)
