Redwork Pillow

I recently purchased a new Cheri pattern for a redwork bunny pillow.  Not much in the line of instructions for making the pillow but I was able to do it without problem.  It is done with a combination of redwork embroidery and wool applique.  Prairie points with buttons.  A sweet piece for spring.

I finished twelve applique baskets from my small version of a Blackbird Designs basket.  I placed them on the design wall for a photo but this layout has nothing to do with how I am thinking of setting them.  I am planning vertical rows of baskets with a strip of a variety of the prints between each basket.  I have a larger piece of the gray stripe and one of the florals.  I am thinking of a spacing vertical row of the stripes between basket rows and then the large floral for the border.  I hope it doesn't look too busy when I sew everything together.  The yellow baskets are my least favorite.

I have several projects going at one time and stitching as fast as I can.  Happy, happy!

  3. You did a beautiful job on the pillow, I need to practice making some, but just plain ones that I can use. The baskets are beautiful too, another idea I want to do and use scraps for the baskets.
