Catherine's Garden Block Six

I finished block six for Catherine's Garden a bit early this month.

I did the same as Dawn and embroidered those little stamens to the right and left of the tall red one.  They would have been fussy to hand applique.  Take a look at Dawn's blocks for the month of May.  She shows some different fabric choices for inspiration.  Very different than what I have been using.

  1. Hi Karen--this is a lovely block! what weight and brand of hand applique thread do you like to use; I am not happy with mine right now--it knots and tangles very easily...hugs, Julierose

  2. You really have been busy, love your new projects and your finished quilt.
I have so many ideas and things I want to do, but have a hard time relaxing, long enough to work on things, so stitching keeps my hands busy when I am sitting.
