1850 Album Blocks Done

I finished stitching the last of the 1850 Album blocks.  Actually, I finished them several days ago but have been busy and not taken time to put them on the design wall for a photo.  These are not the order they go into the rows of the quilt.  Laurene Sinema who published the pattern, drew the block designs as they were stitched and they are not always as you might think they would be.  For instance, the block in the lower left hand corner has two different red flower designs.  You would think they would all be alike.  These blocks have been a joy to stitch.  Mostly large pieces and most not too hard .

Now I have to figure out which fabric will be the sashing between the blocks.  I got my fabrics mixed up when pulling some for another quilt.

I am working on several quilt projects but am not ready to share any pictures just yet.  I am having fun!

Karen

  8. Having fun is what it is all about. I love your blocks. Will you just sash or will you add cornerstones as well? Just curious about why sometimes people add cornerstones and some don't.
