Shenandoah Botanical February Update

I have two blocks done for the Shenandoah Botanical quilt and both are tulip blocks.  I did not refer back to the first one when I cut out parts for the second and find that I used the same pink and yellow in both and a duplicate green.    I should have at least selected a different pink and yellow but I am not going to change anything on the blocks.

I have been busy with company but now our guest is gone.  I will be back to doing lots of applique.

  1. Both of these tulip blocks are beautiful!
They look very different even though you used a few of the fabrics in both blocks.

  7. They are both lovely ! I don't think that it matters that they are both the same...I look at it as if they came from the same package of bulbs when you planted them :)

  8. Great blocks! I can understand why you chose the same fabrics for both blocks...the fabrics are so fresh and "springy"....perfect for tulips.

Even with the same fabrics they look very different because of the placement.

  20. I think it will blend well and all will think you had a great idea in selecting the colors and reversing them! Of course I have been there done that with projects. Sometimes it is best to just forge ahead. Pretty blocks.
