Slow Stitching Sunday

I am sharing applique blocks on Slow Stitching Sunday.  I have started working on Stonefields blocks.  I am using reproduction fabrics so my blocks will not be as light and pastel as many quilters have done.

First up are four pieced star blocks.

Some block patterns are for a single use.  Others are in two's.

This is one of the single use designs.

I am enjoying playing with the repro fabrics for this project.

I want to share a picture of a small quilt that was gifted to me by a quilting friend in Spain.  I love the red and white fabrics.

I am linking to Kathy's "Slow Stitching Sunday" links.  Pay her blog a visit to see what others are working on.  Click here.

  19. OH, my gosh, you are off and running on a beautiful interpretation of Stonefield. Love the historical figures in the center of the stars. Your red and white mini is a classic. I tend to forget how lovely a simple pattern, simply done can be.
