A Bountiful Life

I took time to do block eight for the "A Bountiful Life" quilt (I am using Karen Mowery's pattern).  I have had it prepped for a couple months and just now taking time to work on it.Strawberries, pears, cherries, grapes, and apples.  The grapes in this block are of the white variety.  The quilt has a lot of fruit in the blocks.

I also stitched the first block for Kathleen Tracy's mystery quilt which she is presenting in her Facebook group.  A free design.  The mystery quilt is meant to be of the scrappy variety can be done with a more select group of fabrics if a person so desires.  I am going scrappy.

Stop back again soon to see what I am working on.  I have many projects in the works.

  12. Your Bountiful Life block is beautiful! I guess I wasn’t the only one that noticed that “perfect” pear fabric. I copied off the first block of the mystery, need to look for fabric.

  17. Gorgeous applique! I'm starting to do a lot more, but not anywhere near your caliber. I'm also doing Kathleen Tracy's mystery. I hope to finish my block today at a stitching group. I didn't do the mystery last year, and really loved seeing all the finished quilts.

  19. Your Bountiful Life block is lovely--makes me want to make another one. Karen told me she was working on a second one in all neutrals, but I don't think she was able to finish it--I would love to do one in her honor some day. She was such a sweet lady!
