Strawberries

The strawberries block has been complete for several days but I have been suffering through a major gout attack.  I am on the mend after a doctor visit but still  a ways to go.

The strawberry block is from the book pattern "A Bountiful Life".  The red ran a bit when I rinsed the block but I feel confident it will wash out in the long run.  I will wash it soon with some color catchers.  I love strawberries.  My favorite fruit.

Thank you for paying my blog a visit and I love to read your comments.

  5. OH darn! I am so sorry for your gout...I make little tents in the patient beds so that the covers don't touch my patient's toes and make them hurt worse. Hope you feel better soon...love your gorgeous block!

  7. Very pretty block! I love strawberries, it is hard to get good ones up here sometimes. Hope you feel better! I had a good friend that suffered often from gout, I know how much pain she suffered at times.

  28. Good morning - love the strawberries!
However, about your gout - I used to really suffer terribly with inherited gout and could hardly walk most of the time (didn't know it was the gout causing this) but about 4 months ago I saw a Rheumatologist and have been taking slowly increasing doses of Puricos (I am up to 450mg once a day) and also 1 x 0.5mg of Colchicine every day. I am now able to walk non stop for over two hours at a time, and am still able to walk for an hour the following day! All physical movements have become so very much easier, from climbing and descending stairs to sewing! I just had to share my experience and hope it might help you ... the symptoms did get worse initially as the meds were busy dissolving all the crystals throughout my body - but for about the last month I am more and more happy with the result!
