Early American Life.....Blocks Done

Cathy and I got busy and finished the rest of our blocks for Early American Life.

 Willow

 Rooster

 Vine

 Love Birds
Urn

Cathy added her sashings as she went.  I still have that to do.  I have been working on a doll quilt for a swap through the Facebook Prim group.  It is an interesting challenge which I will explain more about at a later date.

Now for another new sew-along.  This time it will be Cathy, Julie, and myself participating.  We will be working on a new pattern set called "Dearest Boy".  The pattern set was available on Etsy but I do not see it offered there at this time.  There is also a Facebook group for those stitching the pattern.  It consists of both pieced and applique blocks.  Below is a picture of the quilt.

We are going to try for two blocks a month and post one on the 15th and the 30th as Cathy and I have been doing with the "Early American Life" blocks.  Stay tuned.

Additional information:  I have had a couple e-mails asking how to find the Dearest Boy designer to ask about pattern availability.  The designer is Jean Cerbone and she still has an Etsy shop  You can contact her through that listing and ask when more patterns will be available.  Here is a link.

I cannot e-mail you if you are listed as a "no-reply" commentor.

Beyond the Cherry Tree Update

I have three more blocks to share from the "Beyond the Cherry Tree" designs that I am working on.  Only two blocks left to stitch after these.

The basket with the handle block is a favorite of mine from the pattern set.

Lots of circles on this block.

Less pieces but still took tome time.

I am anxious to get the last two blocks done and then start prepping the border pieces.  I want to move on to other projects!

Early American Life Block #Eleven

It's the 15th and time to share the next block for the Early American Life quilt Cathy and I have been working on,

The pattern titled this block as "Tulip".  It has a Pennsylvania Dutch look to it.

I have been busy with company and other things that need attending to and have not done much sewing.  I got back to my applique on "Beyond the Cherry Tree" about three days ago.  I will do a post soon sharing the new blocks completed.

Have a good Sunday or whatever day you are reading this.
