THE SECOND "PIECE AND PLENTY" QUILT IN THE WORKS

I am pushing to get the second "Piece and Plenty" basket quilt top finished yet this week.  I am getting close. I have one or two applique blocks to go and three star blocks to make.  I know one of the blocks that needs to be made will be applique.  Possibly a pieced basket on the second.  I did not like all the original blocks for the quilt and have replaced with ones I like better.  I did the same thing on the first one I made from the pattern.  Here are a few sections of the quilt.  I have more parts together but did not photograph them.

It is a rainy day here today.  A great day for being in the house sewing.  I hope you can find time to do the same.

This quilt is so cute! It's clouded here in Texas, but all we got was a sprinkle.

I would readily welcome the rain. We haven't seen much and the wild fires have started. I changed a few of the blocks when I made this quilt too. I like your changes but I have to say YOU ARE AMAZING to have made two of these quilts. I thought I was doing good to get one done.

Love your quilt on the header! And another great looking Piece & Plenty quilt too! Is this one going faster since you already did it once before?

Beautiful new header quilt, Karen.
This second quilt is another charming piece--made even more so by your personal touches. I, too, love changing up a pattern to make it my own.

Karen,

Why are you making a second quilt? Will it be a gift? It looks similar to my friend's quilt like it? Did you have 2 kits of the fabric?

I love how this one is coming along, the colors as so great. That bluey teal color is perfect with the browns/creams. Cloudy day here, it was our second day of summer and now it's supposed to turn back to cloudy and rain. What's the difference? I did see the sun yesterday though, when I was an hour south of here.
