BLACKBIRDS AND BERRIES

I wanted to make a wall hanging.  Something that would not take long to stitch.  I did the applique and piecing over two days.  Now for machine quilting.  I have to find time for that.
I used a pattern by Kim Diehl that is in her "Homestyle Quilts" book.  It finishes approximately 18 by 22 inches.  I had two of the same fabrics in my stash as Kim used for her quilt.  The flower pot fabric which is a Barbara Brackman piece and the black fabric used for the birds.  The border is created with mostly squares.  Square in a square style but using two different sizes of squares.  A fun piece to stitch.

I am working on several different projects and have several ideas floating in my head.  I need to concentrate on a project and get something done.  But there are so many distractions!

Thanks for stopping by.
Karen

Oooooh! I live your wallhanging. The colors are great. You've been quite the busy lady between the wallhanging and the Abundance mini quilt you posted recently.

Another beauty. I think we couldn't call ourselves quilters if we didn't suffer a little from ADD *s*
