FORGET ME NOT

A new wall hanging quilt top done.  I used a Cheri pattern called "Forget Me Not".  A few months ago, Cheri had a give-away on her blog of some of her fabric scraps.  I won a box full of them.  I used some of them in creating this small quilt top.  Cheri tea and coffee stains her fabrics before using them so they had a wonderful aged look to them.
Hard to see in the embroidered words "Forget Me Not" in the picture.  They are above the heart in the blue/grey block.  Easier to see in person.  An enjoyable piece to make.

I love this quilt top–what do the crows represent? The results you can get by tea or coffee dyeing fabric are amazing–I did it to tone down an overly vivid log cabin block and was really (pleasantly) surprised by the effect.

Every once in awhile I really like one of Cheri's patterns and this is one that catches my eye. Makes it even more special when made from her scraps!

Very nice. Enjoy the colors. The tea/coffee just makes them that much more enjoyable; works with style of quilt top.

I love this! What a treat to win some of Cheri's scraps and use them in her pattern. I pinned it on my Cheri board!
