SNOWMAN ROW QUILT UPDATE

An update on the snowman row quilt.  I am working on the last row and about 1/3 done.  I was anxious to see how things are going to fit together.  I made the rows a bit longer so I could trim in the end.  The left side of the quilt is not trimmed yet.  This is not a good picture.  There are some boxes in the way on the floor so I had to stand to the side to take a picture.  Makes it look sort of lopsided.
I should be working on the last row applique but instead I have been in the sewing room the last two days and will be there again today.  I am prepping blocks for a Noah's Ark pattern by Country Threads.  It is taking a lot more time than I anticipated.  Here is a picture of the pattern cover so you can see what it should look like.
I made a version of a Jan Patek Noah's Ark pattern in 2009.  Here is a picture of that quilt.
I have one more Noah pattern that I could make in the future. It is by Jill Kemp.  Looks like I will have a Noah's Ark quilt collection in the end.   Have you made a Noah's Ark quilt?

Off to the sewing room.  Enjoy your day.
Karen

The snowman quilt is looking so fun! ALMOST enough to tempt me to try applique again. : )
I love that Noah's Ark pattern you are currently working. Very unique. I've never made a Noah's ark quilt, but I should have. That was kind of the theme of my daughter's nursery. I did a receiving blanket out of Noah's Ark fabric, but that is as far as I went with the theme. Every pattern was applique!

I have never made an appliquéd quilt but I do have a Halloween Baltimore kit that is still waiting... I am a bit nervous to try it but so love the look.

I adore your Noah's Ark quilts and who couldn't use one more?

Hope you are having a great week.

The snowman row quilt is so cute! I normally don't like row quilts, but this one is a treasure. I also like the Noah's ark quilt. I especially like the water at the bottom.

Love the progress on the snowman quilt. I hope to get mine started this summer...sometime!
My first quilt was a Debbie Mumm Noah's Ark quilt...9 patches and snowball blocks. Still have it hanging :-)

Gosh - all those quilts are fabulous! No I haven't made a Noah's Ark quilt, but it looks like I need to add one to my ever expanding to-do list. Love the Jan Patek version (your fabric selections are awesome!) - hopefully I'll be able to locate that pattern somewhere...

You were smart to make your rows a little longer when you could. They seldom come out exactly the same ..(experience speaking). Your quilts are looking good.

My girlfriend finished her snowman quilt and it is adorable, but big. You are going to love it when it is done. And your Noah's Ark collection will be priceless.

I wish I had a tenth of that talent. I have never been good at applique. I get into bursts where I attempt, fail, and put away. Eventually my stubborness may see me through so seeing quilts like yours keeps the determination factor up!
