Winter's Scraps

I love Cheri's designs which is evident with how many of her patterns I have used.  A new finish made  from a  Cheri pattern in  an issue of the Primitive Quilts and Projects Magazine.  Last year, I won a box of Cheri's scraps of fabric.  The rail fence blocks are made from some of those pieces.
It is a wonder that this piece is flat.  I had a problem with drifting on my seam allowance when making the rail fence type blocks.  I ended up fixing some and just trimming others so a bit wonky looking but still a good look.  I used wool for the applique.  Another check mark on my list of things to make and finish.

I love this. You are so busy getting so many things done. It must feel great to be able to make that check mark as you finish things up. This one is a real treat to look at.

Darling! And is it quilted and washed? It looks like meandering? Nice and wrinkly quilting...love it!

Your piece came out beautifully and love that you could use your Cheri fabrics in it.

Very cute quilt. I think the wonky blocks are lovely, very much like Cheri's quilts. All part of the charm. Lucky you to have won her scraps.

I enjoyed making this same quilt when the magazine first arrived in my mail - it was a fun one! I don't mix wool applique with my quilts too often, but this made me want to do that on a regular basis. Yours is just lovely!
