I am joining in on Kathy's Slow Stitching Sunday by doing some prep work on this table topper I started a good while ago. I am using a Kim Diehl pattern.
I found the project in a pile of projects that had been stored in a plastic basket. The only part I found that had not been stitched down was an eagle. Now I am wondering if I never cut out the rest of the applique pieces or if they got separated into another basket. The search is on.

What a nice project. I hope you can find the rest of it because it will make a wonderful fall accent to you house.
What a good find this one is! Love it. I really need to get you my Kim D books again. I don't seem to get many of her pattern (or anything else) made, but I sure do enjoy browsing through her books.
This is a beautiful pattern...love your colors
This is a great pattern! I sure hope you find your missing pieces!
You sound like me! As soon as you make more pieces, you'll find the ones you had already made!! LOL
Thanks for linking up!
I have this pattern tagged in one of her books. Good to see someone working on it! Will watch for updates.

That is going to be a beautiful piece, well worth finishing.

This is a great design. Hope the other parts surface soon. : )
Lovely piece--hope your other eagles didn't fly away--lol hugs, Julierose
I have this project in mt cupboard and am just slightly ahead of you. Mine has also languished for a long time. I do like it though and instead to finish it.
I should read before I send! ...my cupboard ... And intend to finish it...!
I like it!
I like it too. Sounds like the eagles flew the coop. Hope you can find then. If not, it won't take too long to cut out a couple more.
precioso trabajo!!!
suerte saludos
Hope you find your missing eagles! A couple of more would balance things out nicely
That happens sometimes when I run across projects during the time I am suppose to be organizing or cleaning out. I find a project that I just need to get back to...sometimes all the pieces are there but mostly they are not.
I hope you find all you need to finish this piece. It's lovely, so far.
That is the problem with UFOs, it is hard to revisit them because I always forget where I was with it...I have started to leave a note with my UFOs to explain its status!
What fun to find this, it's wonderful.
Hello Karen! What a great find! I know I have a few ufos in the same state in my room - and I don't know if all the parts are there either. I keep pulling them out just as you are, and work on them or gift them to someone who would like to finish. Some that I've found are SO close to finished that I don't know why I didn't finish it then! If you figure it out, please let me know!
Hope you find the rest and finish this lovely project!
Hugs
Lida
You know, don't you, that as soon as you give up looking and make the missing pieces that they'll show up, right? Looks good and I can't wait to see it finished.
Un bellisimo proyecto, deseando que encuentre las piezas que faltan.
Feliz dia!!
What a great project! Hope the eagles return. I agree as soon as you make new pieces you will find them. Always happens to me.
Good luck with the search! It is going to be a beauty.
Beautiful project! How could you have put it aside for so long?!? I hope you find the rest of your appliqué pieces.
That pattern is on my bucket list--love yours so far!
Today is my day to organize my sewing room.
Hope you can find the rest of the topper. Looks good so far.
I love this and am looking forward to seeing the finished piece .... so get looking! xCathy
It's going to be another beauty!
I love Kim Diel's patterns, but haven't actually ever made one. This one is in one of her books that I have and I have always wanted to make it, but appliqué wasn't my favorite. Now, however, with a little more experience with appliqué, I feel like I could do it! I need to start selecting fabric!
