Country Album Blocks #26, 27, and 28

Nearing the end of the album quilt blocks.  Two more to go.  Here are numbers 26, 27 and 28.

The Churning  Couple is a block from "Sweet and Simple Country Quilts" by Jenni Dobson.

A design from a Laurene Sinema pattern.

And another Laurene Sinema design.

It is hard choosing the last two block designs.  There are several to select from that would work well for the quilt.  I prepped a block today for one of them and will think a bit more about the last block pattern.

Another County Album Update Plus More

Two more blocks completed for the Album quilt.  Four to go.....I think.

The first block is from Laurene Sinema's Miniature Folk Art pattern.

The second block designis from Jeana Kimball's book "Forget-Me-Not Quilts".  If you are looking for a copy of this book, there are some available on Amazon.

The tulip block design is a freebie from Legend and Lace.  This is the April block.

Block design is from the 1857 patterns being given by Sentimental Stitches.  I am curious to know how others have created the sun block.  I did it in applique but the block could have been pieced.

You will notice that I stopped stitching the pink diamonds on the corners.  I am not liking them all that well and am thinking about another way of setting the blocks.

These last two blocks are unusual designs for a quilt.  I can't decide what the items are with the heart block.  Maybe an iron or a planer type tool.  Maybe a T square and a trowel.  Any ideas?

I will be stitching on the next album block this evening.  Hope you find time to work on a quilt project too.

Country Album Quilt Update

Four blocks completed to add to the country style album quilt I am creating.

Birds and Crowns
from Jeana Kimball's "Forget-Me-Not"book

Birds With Flowers In Vase
a Laurene Sinema pattern (from an 1850 Maryland quilt)

from Laurene Sinema's Primitive Folk Art Quilt book

Crossed Pineapples
Jeana Kimball design from "Forget-Me-Not" book

I am getting close to the end of making the 30 central blocks.  I need to make decisions as to whether I want to make the ones I have selected or switch out a block design or two.
