Hospital Sketches and Autumn Love

A Happy Easter to all.  May the Easter Bunny bring you all the chocolate you have dreamed of.  Myself, I only like milk chocolate and do not each much of it.

I decided to start stitching the "Hospital Sketches" blocks that Barbara Brackman has been presenting on her blog.  I finished the first three and enjoyed it as the blocks are large and the pieces have been easy to stitch.

I have three more blocks done for the "Autumn Love" quilt which is a pattern by Lori Holt.  I mentioned previously that I purchased a kit as I did not have this type fabric in stash.

I love the scarecrow.  He will get some buttons added to the overall straps after the quilting is done.

Now I am working on blocks for the Jeana Kimball class I am taking.  It is through the mail and I was behind three blocks.  I hope to get caught up in the next couple days.  The next lesson and block patterns are already on the way.

You have a lot on the go at once. I haven’t been following Barbra Brackman recently
So I haven’t seen her quilt blocks but yours look lovely.
I’m trying to finish up a few things and I have new patterns to start. Deciding what to
do first always slows me down.
Happy Easter

Your hospital sketches blocks have a lyrical quality to them. Maybe that doesn't make sense, but they seem to be swaying gracefully.
That is an adorable scarecrow. Really is a different style of block for you, but it is fun to break out of the norm now and then.

I love all those blocks and yes what a cute scarecrow--and that first block is extra pretty!!
I only eat dark chocolate--used to have to be 72% but now I enjoy 90% chocolate--I only eat a couple squares a day--for health reasons ( well, partly, and it's for my nerves--don't want me having a nervous break down now do we??!!) But chocolate is about the only sweet I eat--(well--ok--that was before I discovered the little organic bunny cookies I enjoy with my hot tea in the afternoon!!!)
It is quiet here today--and overcast--though it is getting a bit 'brighter' out there--so maybe the sun is trying to shine today--
luv, and Happy Easter, di

Your Hospital Sketches blocks turned out so nice. I shouldn't be surprised - you do wonderful work. I like the fabric you chose to do the outside ring on the bud. It makes it sparkle.

Your Hospital Sketches blocks are beautiful, Karen. I like the colors you've chosen. I finished the first block, printed the others, but I'm far behind now. I hope I can join in again and finish but I've got that Sweet Land of Liberty (for the second time around) to work on. I wish I had more hours in my day or worked faster!
