Dearest Boy

Time for another "Dearest Boy" block.  This block was not the easiest to create.  The instructions were not the clearest to understand but I muddled through by drawing the layout on paper and then transfering it to the background for piece placement.

I chose to leave an embroidered flower out of the center of the woven strips.  It did not seem to add to the design and rather crowded the center part to put anything there.  I am glad to have the block done and that there is not a second one like it in the design.

How pretty!! I love your block...I came up with my own setting arrangement, as there was not one in the pattern.

Karen dices que no fue fácil este bloque.
Pienso que para ti ningún bloque es difícil, todos te quedan perfectos.
Este es diferente y precioso

It is so interesting to see three different takes on how to make this block. Each o e is just slightly different. It’s been fun following you all.

I have to admire your perseverance. I usually drop a project when there is a part like you describe for this block. Still, it turned out cute. I especially like the pink flowers.

I like it the way it is, simple center with the flowers on the outer sides.
My brain cannot handle thinking too much, can't even remember to turn my fabric to the right side lately, lol.

Very pretty block! I had admired that pattern and almost purchased it....then realized there were a bit too many pieces for me to enjoy stitching on it. I'm having a lovely time watching your progress tho! :-)

It's a very pretty block--kind of a rose trellis design? You were right to omit the center flower--it would have been a distraction, I think.

It looks nice but very difficult. Glad you just have to do one!
