Buhl Bushong Quilt

I have enjoyed stitching on the "Buhl Bushong Quilt".  There is a Facebook group for  quilters who have joined in the sew-along.  So many varieties of fabric choices.  The Virginia Quilt Museum has a website where you can see a photo of the antique quilt and information about ordering the patterns.

Here are pictures of what I worked on this past month.

And a picture of the border except for one flower.

The sew along started with border parts and will next move to a start on the center section.

I really like that border--as it is different--
most borders are just repeat patterns for the whole thing--
this one each section is different--
nice jog--
luv, di

Very different quilt, and the border is fabulous. She must have loved to grow flowers. What a fun way to start a quilt by doing those borders first!

You have gotten a lot done and they are all beautifully done.
I am going with some simple piecing for a table runner.

Your border is just lovely! It's amazing to see all the different versions on the FB group. I think that's what makes a SAL more fun. Looking forward to seeing more of this beauty!
