Jo's Variety Album

A quilt top finish.  "Jo's Variety Album".  The pattern is in Jo Morton's quilt book called "For All Seasons".  It measures about 50 inches by 50 inches.  I left off the last border which would have only added about 3 inches more to the quilt.  It would not have made the quilt good for a sofa throw and it makes a larger wall hanging as is.  I will bind the quilt in red after it is quilted.

I looked back and see that the center applique section was finished in November of 2016 so three years waiting to be finished.  I had finished the smaller surrounding applique blocks.  Just needed to sash them and attach to the center section.  Then piece the hour glass blocks.  I am trying to finish up some lingering quilt projects.

Hope you enjoyed your visit.

Karen

That's a beautiful quilt, Karen. It looks like it has lots of small parts to applique and they all look just perfectly placed!
I really, really like the quilt in your header just now, especially the red plaid cabin and the manger block.

Lovely quilt! I'm not much into red-white quilts....but yours has me wanting to stitch one up! It would look beautiful draped over the back of the sofa for the grey January/February winter months ...well...up here in the Northeast anyways....you've got sunshine all year round! :-)

What a beautiful quilt. I love the pattern. I could see it done in a variety of CW prints as well. Alas.. too much for my poor appliqué skills.
Beautiful job, Karen!

That's going to make a very striking wall hanging--love it! I have some of that red toile in my stash waiting for me to make that same Jo pattern. Probably won't be happening any time soon-lol! Hope you can get it quilted soon!

What a lovely quilt. It can be put out for Christmas or Valentine's or just because it's a sweet red and white quilt. You do such nice work. I love toile, I think it dresses up whatever it is added to.

That is gorgeous and looks beautiful in the prints.
I have some large quilts and it makes it hard to hang them on the rail or couch, so I will work on some of the smaller tops I made and waiting to be quilted. Hopefully I can get my tension right and have fun with designs.

This is so beautifully done! I especially love the appliqued birds in the center. Would love to see this one close-up as it looks to have a lovely soft appearance. Kudos to you on wrapping up a lingering project so well!:)

I love red! It's so seasonal this time of year but also good for any time of the year. I bet you will enjoy using it when it's finished.

I'm catching up on blogs, a long overdue treat with my morning coffee. I adore the red/white quilt. And your Bush B appliqued borders are lovely. I too, and trying to finish things, after being away for a month, I walked into my studio and was immediately overwhelmed with the thought of how many WIPS I have. One stitch at a time, right?
