July Farm House Sampler Update and More

July's block.  Julie should have her block posted also.  http://juliekquilts.blogspot.com/  I am enjoying stitching the blocks as they are fairly easy.  And being prim in style, not a problem if something is a bit off.

My recent quilt top "Austin Bluebird Sampler" came back home from being machine quilted.  I added the binding for a finish.

I am working on two more quilt bindings so should have more finishes soon.

My "Beyond the Cherry Tree" blocks came out of the closet.  With the help of my friend Jean, they were arranged on the floor into their final setting.  I will be trimming and then stitching them together.  Then come the borders.  This has been a long time UFO.  I wonder how many of these quilts have been completed over the years since Gay Bomers first offered them as a free sew-along.

Stay healthy!

Karen

Karen, your block is so pretty! I left off a few of the leaves. OH my goodness, your sampler is already done? wow! glorious! I have always loved those beyond the cherry tree blocks, and yours is especially pretty.

I started my Cherries Quilt in 2014 and completed the top, borders and all, back in April. Only 6 years, but loved the journey. I plan to hand quilt it very simply with big stitches. it is one of my all-time favourite quilts ever.
I love the simplicity of your applique block.

Your Austin Bluebird Sampler is gorgeous. Did Dehlia do the quilting? Was it custom or edge to edge?

What a awesome finish. The Austin Bluebird quilt is beautiful with all those Minick and Simpson classic colors and fabrics. The Beyond the Cherry Tree quilt blocks look so beautiful laid out. I'm sure that's just the motivation you needed to work on the borders. There appears to be a bunch of yahoos in Florida these recent weeks. Hope you're staying tucked in safe and sewing.

I especially like the paisley flowers in your block.
The Bluebird Sampler is the perfect summer quilt and it makes me very happy!
Beyond the Cherry Tree looks like it will be another beautiful quilt, and I know from experience how good it feels to get longtime UFOs off the list. :)

All of your work is so beautiful, Karen, but I have to say I love the blocks in Beyond the Cherry Tree. They have so much fine detail. Not just anyone can successfully sew such tiny pieces.

WOW! Congrats on the bluebird finish! It is stunning!! I love it as it reminds me of the Miami County quilt we did together.
So cool to get these lovely "oldies" out of the closet.
